Empowering Others to Give
A business leader with a passion for helping others live better lives.
eImagine Founder and President Joel Russell brings to the company his unique philosophy of connectivity—connecting with the company, the individual and the community (CIC). In addition to his mission of providing a dynamic and challenging work environment that empowers employees and helps clients succeed, his personal goals include making a difference in his community:
FightforOne.com: As a father of a five-year old who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes in 2007, Joel’s personal goal is to help find a cure for this devastating disease in his son’s lifetime. He is working on creating a model to generate $1 million per year for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). His first step is www.FightForOne.com, an online social presence where parents can connect with other families affected by type 1 diabetes.
JDRF Board of Directors, Corporate Development Committee & Fundraising Activities: In addition to the business expertise he brings to the organization’s board, Joel actively participates in JDRF fundraisers such as the 100-mile Ride to Cure Diabetes. In 2009, Joel participated in the Sonoma, California and Vermont rides. At the 2009 Promise Gala, the JDRF’s primary annual fundraiser, Joel drove 5% of the attendance through his promotion of the event to business colleagues, family and friends.
Combined Federal Campaign (CFCIndiana.org): Joel is a member of the CFC, an organization whose goal is to promote fundraising in the Federal workplace. Joel is registered to deliver keynotes on connectivity in the workplace and the challenges of living with juvenile diabetes.
NPower Indiana: Joel is also a member of the board of directors for this organization, which provides comprehensive, high-quality and affordable technology assistance to nonprofit organizations.
